Though lovers be lost love shall not

Tomorrow is the 19th birthday of Andrew Williams. Andrew and his brothers and cousins will be pall-bearers at their Grandfather's funeral in Yorshire tomorrow. His father David will be the Priest at my brother's burial. Sadly I cannot be there with Murial, Gaynor and Laura, but our brother Don will say goodbye to our big brother.
Des died on 24 February 2012. His son Paul died in America on New Year's Eve. I was already grieving for my dear wife Gillian who died here in Spain on 27 January 2010. Gill never recovered from the death of our beloved son Gareth on 24 February 2010 in Norway, where his brother Mike and cousin Laura attended his funeral together with his children Mattis, Leah and Kaja.
Gilly's Spring garden in Wales was a delight of daffodils. Later she so loved the early Spring at our home in Andalucia.Wild primroses, scented broom and mimosa are again a riot of gold across our hills and in the week since Des' death Gill's Jasmine has arrived again above her doorway to welcome visitors.
Gary wrote a poem here shortly before his death, which Nina kindly read at his funeral at his mother's request. I post it here again for Des and will pick some wild flowers for them all tomorrow morning.
JASMINE - Gareth Wilce (21 October 2009)
The scent of the evening
As jasmine takes the air
Invading your senses
Making you glad that you're there
One part per million
Drifting across the night
One night per million
Relaxed and feeling alright.
There have been 32,588 visits to Gareth's Obituaries. Thank you all so much.

"Though lovers be lost love shall not."

.
My lovely son Gareth Ian Wilce, Architect, died in Bergen, Norway on 24 January 2010, aged 44.
My beloved wife Gillian Ann Wilce, Teacher, died in Marbella, Spain on 27 October 2011, aged 71.
Gareth was diagnosed with a Bipolar Disorder in 2009. He bravely volunteered for electro-shock treatment in a Norwegian Asylum in the hope of return to the three young children he so loved.
In September 2009, Gillian brought her son to our holiday home in Spain in the hope of recovery. While here, Gareth wrote a hundred poems which I have posted in his memory on the two Obituary sites of the South Wales Echo and Wrexham Leader which have received an astonishing 21,450 visits during the past two years.
In November 2009, Gillian returned to Norway to support the further hospital treatment of her son.
Sadly, Gareth committed suicide in Bergen on 24 January 2009, dying in the arms of his loving partner Leni.
His mother never recovered her heath. Gillian suffered a Breakdown in Norway followed by two years of painful disability in Spain. Never complaining, my wife fought so hard, but finally suffered fatal heart failure on 27 October 2011
I am posting Gary's poetry on Gill's Obituary sites in memory of a wonderful wife & son:
WREXHAM LEADER and BARRY AND DISTRICT NEWS.
