Colin was one of the kindest and strongest people that we have had the pleasure of knowing. One of the best neighbours you could ever ask for and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and love go out to Cynthia, Chris and family. With love Emma, James, Isabel and Owen xxx

I first met Colin in 1987 at my interview at St George's hospital where he was part of the trial by sherry" Over the 33 yrs since we became good friends and with Colin and Cynthia and spent so m
any happy times with together. I never ceased to be amazed at how Colin could draw positive strength from the most difficult times and how despite his own problems he always wanted to know how you were coping with yours. He had a gift for being able to look to a positive future in situations where many of us would have been despairing.
I know his faith was important in sustaining him and I am sure that it was a comfort in his in his last illness. He has a special place in our memory.

I've known Colin for the last 48 years, he talked me into nursing, & mentored & supported me through all my career. He & Cynth' have remained close valued friends right up to his death. Phill has enjoyed many happy times at Edgbaston watching the cricket with him. We'll both miss him dreadfully, but have lovely memories to draw on. He fought his battle with poor health with the courage and determination he had applied to all he did, remaining positive, never giving up & never losing his sense of humour. Sincere condolences to Cynth', Chris, Courtney & Kiera. RIP XXX
Chris & Phill.
