Anne LewisWILLIAMSDied peacefully on 19th June at Southport & Formby District General Hospital. Beloved wife of Geoff (RIP), mother of Alan, Paul and John, mother in law to Karen, Jane and Hugh and grandmother to Rachel, Beth and Nonni. Anne had a lifelong love of music and singing in particular and was a member of the Lord St West United Reformed Church Choir. For many years she was an active member and Treasurer of the Birkdale Orpheus Society, had been both treasurer and chair of Inner Wheel, and had been fully involved in the establishment and running of the Southport Talking Newspaper. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of A&E Majors at the hospital for their care in Mum's final days, and the teams at Forum Court and Birkdale Tower Lodge for the last 18 months as she battled with Alzheimer's. On the 14th July there will be a short committal service at 10am at Southport Crematorium followed by a thanksgiving service at the Lord St West United Church at 10.45am. This will be followed by refreshments at The Prince of Wales Hotel, Lord Street. Donations are being gratefully received in lieu of flowers for the Alzheimer's Society and Southport Talking Newspaper.
