Carol and the family. I have only just heard this very sad news. I worked with Robert for over 15 years at the BTAA (BATF Federation) in Birmingham. Robert was such a lovely boss, he was kind and considerate and took time out to speak with everyone he met. Robert spoke so much about his family, he was so proud of his kids and the last time we were in touch he spoke of the arrival of his grandchild and was excited to be a grandad at last.
I remember meeting Carol when Robert invited Ray and I to the celebrations of the Olympics in the square and I know the whole of Uppingham will be missing him for sure. Take good care Diana Fiveash Birmingham.
