Dearest Gramps - you are and will continue to be missed by so many, truly.

The patriarch of the Wood family - you adored your Beryl (Grandma) and took such good care of your family.

You led an interesting life, including serving the late Queen Elizabeth II as a Grenadier Guard and your country as a soldier in the military.

As a child you terrified me - because you were so tall and larger than life. As I grew up (and I became as tall as you), I just remember how kind, caring and funny you were. You had the best sense of humour - very cheeky - which I too have inherited from you.

Thank you for everything Gramps - for being the absolute best - the most thoughtful and wise Grandpa I could have ever wished for.

You are now with Grandma - take care of her and shine brightly on us down here.

Love always & forever.
