It’s important that the family and mourners know they can donate online and how - and for that we need your help and assistance!
There are two ways they can donate online
  • Via their local newspapers website, selecting the tab named “Funeral Notices” which will direct them to www.funeral-notices.co.uk
  • Or they can visit the site directly at: www.funeral-notices.co.uk
  • The three vital touch points to consider with family and mourners
In order to help both families and mourners, we would suggest that you share this information to help change the way people donate at these three vital touch points:
    1 At the funeral arrangement
If you provide your family with information at or after the funeral arrangement, it's important that you include how to donate information in your pack - e.g.

Donations will be collected for (insert charity name), via: www.funeral-notices.co.uk
2 If the family have requested service sheets
If it is your usual practice to include donation information on the service sheets, we suggest that you again include this information to guide mourners to the best place to donate - e.g.
Donations if desired to (insert charity name), donors can donate online via the obituary notice page which appears on: www.funeral-notices.co.uk
    3. In the officiants instruction
The perfect person to advise mourners of who the family are collecting for in memory of their loved one and how they can donate is the officiant, they will have the captivated attention of mourners on the day - e.g.
The family have requested that donations will be collected for (insert charity name). Donors can donate online via: www.funeral-notices.co.uk Donating online makes it very easy to add Gift Aid in a simple click boosting the total raised by 25%.
These three simple changes will help ensure that we can help you to ensure that the maximum amount is raised in memory of the deceased
