MadgeIRVINGIRVING On 24th June 2011 peacefully at her home in the presence of her family after a long illness bravely borne, Madge McGeorge Irving, nee Jardine, of Bloomfield, Dumfries, beloved wife of Ronald (The Captain), a dearly loved mother of James, David and Jane, loved sister of Isobel and a much loved mother-in-law, granny, great granny, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Service at Roucan Loch Crematorium, Dumfries on Friday 1st July at 11am. All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for the Marie Curie Nurses can be given at the service in memory of Madge

Merry Christmas Mum


Dear Mum, I wish that both you and Dad were still with us so very much! I miss you and wish I could have one more day together with you!. Both of you were wonderful parents and taught us many things in life. I know you were both tired and needed to be with each other and I hope Mum you were waiting for Dad at the end. I feel you both around me and at times you both give a cheeky reminder. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes but also with a smile as I remember your sense of humour and some of the Madgeisms that you would come out with Mum! It's Christmas time and I will light a candle for you both. Watch us from above and remind us often that you are around. Butterflies will always be how I remember you both.
