StuartHOLMSIt is with great sadness we announce the death of Stuart Holms (retired Ayr GP), suddenly on Sunday 3rd of May. He was the adored husband and best friend of Annette, most wonderful dad to Caroline, Douglas and father-in-law to Annie, fabulous grandpa to Isidora and Macallen. A dear brother to Robin and the late Margaret, a loyal friend to so many, and a man who loved life. We are heartbroken, but will always remember him smiling, laughing, golfing, gardening and DIYing. We would like everyone who knew him to smile and remember him in their own special way.

I'm Stuart's son and can honestly say your messages have made my Mum and sister smile and have a wee cry. He'd want us to bounce back and make sure we keep living to the full so plan on doing that.

So sorry to read of the sudden passing of Stuart. He was always lovely Dr Holms to my grandmother, my late parents, Tom and Margaret Dean, and to my sister Claire and I. Straightforward, but kind and cheery with a twinkle in his eye. Sincere condolences to his dear family who I can imagine will miss him so much.

It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Dr. Stuart.
I worked with Stuart during his studies when he worked at the bakery behind the Wallace Tower.
We had many great times as we drove around Ayrshire in the van selling all the bakery products.
This would have been sometime in the late 60's if I can recall correctly.
Stuart later joined the practice that I was registered with, but hardly met with Stuart during his medical years as I had no reason to see him.
Also due to my employment during the years even till now being 90% of the time overseas.
My deepest condolences too all the Family of the great loss of Stuart.
