Frederick GeorgeSMITH(Fred the Veg) of Bell Green Beloved husband of Betty, dearly loved dad of Martin, Stephen, Jayne and David, adored grandad of Natalie, Amie, Sophie, Chloe, Callum and Shane, great grandad of Iylah, Arlo and Jaxon and a dear brother of George, Derick (deceased) and Brenda (deceased) passed away peacefully on 2nd April 2019, aged 79 years. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Goodnight and God Bless Funeral service to be held at St Laurence's Church, Old Church Road on Tuesday 14th May at 12 noon followed by burial at Lentons Lane Cemetery. Please join the family after the service at The Bell Green Working Men's Club, for light refreshments and to share happy memories of Fred. Family flowers only please,donations if desired payable to 'UHCW Charity' (To benefit The Special Care Baby Unit) via J.E Hackett and Sons website (online donation) or by post to J.E Hackett & Sons Ltd, Longford Bridge, Coventry, CV6 6BH. Sincere condolences to all Fred’s family and friends. They definitely broke the mould when Fred was born, a real character, he will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. RIP. John Scobbie and family.
