MillarCLIFFOn Friday the 12th of June, Millar Nicol Cliff of Hillview Drive Dumfries (formerly of Springburn Glasgow) sadly passed away with his family at his side. Former headmaster of Maxwelltown High School, beloved husband of Elma, much loved father of Ailie and Jonnie, father-in-law of Nicki, adored papa (pops) of Max and Elodie. Millar passed away peacefully age 92. The cortège will leave the family home at 11:10am on Wednesday 24th June and will make its way to Millar Cliff Road for 11:25am, opposite the site of his old Max High School, before proceeding to the Roucan Loch Crematorium for 12pm service. Due to the current restrictions the funeral will unfortunately be strictly private with a maximum of 10 in attendance. Family flowers only please.

Just learned today of Mr Cliff's passing. My French teacher at Whitehill school, I'm sad to hear of this, but I'm also delighted to read all the warm messages from those who knew him much better than we terrors - at the time - ever could. RIP, Sir.
