“Marion” an incredible and generous woman

I wish to reference a few words about Marion. Undoubtedly one of the most well-liked lady that I have met since my stay in Botswana for 18 years. For all of us, it was an honour to know her!

Marion was forever the same person that you would come to expect at anytime and at any place. Self-sacrificing, caring, considerate and always well-liked.

• Everyone that I know in Botswana, has been saddened by the news.
• Everyone was amazed at her doggedness, to live and fight the battle. She never complained. Just got on with it!!!
• Everyone has missed her since leaving Botswana 2 years ago.

Marion, had to undergo several procedures which most of us could never endure, yet, she never protested and never stopped working determinedly to maintain the income and security of her shared home.

I was hopeful to shoot my first wedding in Scotland this August and visit Marion and her family, sadly, I suppose in a way, instead it will be best to visit the remembrance of such a delightful person.

Marion, I never met your family overseas, please all of you accept my heartfelt sympathies. You should know that I possibly speak the thoughts on behalf her many friends in Botswana.

As for Sheila, we only met on social media the day Marion succumbed to the fight. Thank you, Sheila, for looking after your best friend, when we so far away, could not.

Can someone at the memorial service, please place a single red rose to signify our presence on behalf of her friends in Botswana and South Africa

“Our thoughts always with you Marion”
