My favourite teacher of all time. Maurice made a great impression on me as a pupil at Port Glasgow High School in the 1970's. He took the trouble to write me an inspirational letter following the results of my higher exams in 1980. I still have this letter in my possession today. Sad news to hear of his passing. RIP.
