Margaret HughesWILSONNee Gebbie Most beloved mother, mother-in-law, devoted nana and great-nana, who died Friday 31st May, aged 91, " precious memories, how they linger." Daughter Margaret, son David and family wish too extend sincerest gratitude to all family, friends and neighbours for thoughtful messages of condolence and floral tributes. Thanks especially to neighbour Andrea, teams of carers, district nurses, Marie Curie staff, Angela Andrew (CPN) and especially Rae, ever present with her help and love. Thanks also to Co-op Funeralcare staff, and piper Christopher Sanderson. Special thanks to Rev. Malcolm Anderson of Blantyre Congregational Church for his unfailing support and gift of spiritual comfort.

21 months you’ve been gone. 21 whole months without your voice, smile, smell or laughter! You are in my dreams almost every night and for those I am so very grateful! They keep me feeling you close to me. Since you’ve been gone it’s been a crazy world, so much has changed in such a short space of time. Your great grandchildren are doing well. Cameron passed his GCSEs with flying colours! He his his A* target! You would have been so so proud Nana, he made it!! I just wish you had been here to see it! I hope wherever you are Nana that you are safe and happy. None of this gets easier, I miss you beyond words.

Nana it’s been almost 3 months since you left us. I relive that morning every day and it gets no easier. There is never a second goes past without thinking of you, a lifetime of the best memories and the greatest love. I try to smile fondly but find myself flooding with tears as this world isn’t the same without you. My whole life you were always there, I could always depend on Nana love and Nana smiles, Nana stories and Nana laughter. It was the best and my heart is broken into a million pieces. I know you had to go and you always told me that nobody can stay forever but it doesn’t heal anything. I love you Nana, no one will ever understand just how much! Wherever you are, please don’t leave me.

My precious Nana. I know you needed to go but I wasn’t ready to be without you. Your presence in my life has always made me everything that I am and my love for you will be forever.
