Mortons Funerals

Business Overview
Since first opening our doors in 1898 we have been proud to serve our local community as Independent Funeral Directors, providing the best possible advice, guidance, choice, value and service. That’s why families return to us generation after generation. Since the retirement of Miles Morton in 2015 Mortons has been owned by father and daughter Derek Case & Sarah Case. Derek joined Mortons back in 1982 and was joined by Sarah in 2005 and so another strong family team reflects the previous family heritage of the Company. Mortons are invited members of the prestigious international association of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, which was founded in 1917 as a worldwide trade association made up of the best funeral homes in the profession. We are also members of SAIF, the national organisation of Independent Funeral Directors and NAFD, National Association of Funeral Directors which means we adhere to their strict codes of practice so our clients can be assured of receiving the best standards of care and attention. By choosing Mortons you can be certain that your Funeral Director will have undergone approximately two years of meticulous study to make sure they are fully conversant with all aspects of funeral arranging and directing. At the end of that time they passed stringent written and oral exams, and successfully passed a period of observed assessment before being awarded a Diploma in Funeral Directing, endorsed by Birmingham City University. Everyone at Mortons values the trust and confidence our clients bestow upon us, never taking it for granted. That’s why our motto is ‘Integrity in all we do’. So, whatever style of funeral ceremony or memorial you’re looking for, you can depend on us.
