I only knew John for a short time when he was curate at St John's Church, Tunbridge Wells and I was in the young people's group.
He was gentle and kind and firmly committed to the truths of the Gospel.
It was through his preaching that I came to make my own commitment to following Christ.
John was a great encourager.
