I remember Tom so clearly from my last year at Lancaster - the haughty laugh and the baseball cap, often tilted sideways or positioned back to front. Will miss his unforgettable, engaging personality and his quirky ways. A gentle giant and a true gentleman. RIP Big Guy

Very sad news. I will always have very fond memories of Big Tom from Pendle College, Lancaster University 1981-84. Always with his door open , ready to offer coffee and a chat . Such a geniunely friendly chap, with never a bad word to say about anybody and such a great sense of humour. He will be truly missed and my sympathies to all his friends and family.
