Tudor-Davies Funeral Services

Business Overview
Tudor-Davies Funeral Service was established in July 1992 by Geoffrey Tudor, MBIE, Dip. FD and partner J. Barry M. Davies. We are a solely independent Company and not linked, in any way, with any other Funeral Company. Our first premises were in Wedgwood Street, Burslem in property which was formerly Beeches Garage and Funeral Service, which was owned by Barry’s family.
There is over 50 years experience in the Funeral business by the owners and we are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and The Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors. Geoff, has been a qualified Member of the British Institute of Embalmers since 1965.
The business grew and in 2005 we purchased premises in Waterloo Road and following extensive renovations we opened our new Funeral Home, The Beeches, in February 2006. Our new premises consist of a self contained Funeral Home with two Rest Rooms and a fully equipped Mortuary as well as our Offices, a Reception area and a room suitable for Catering for families who do not wish to go to Licensed premises or return to their home following the funeral. We have still retained our property in Wedgwood Street as a garage to house our fleet of vehicles.
Following the progression to Waterloo Road, Olive, Geoff’s wife, joined Geoff in the office, having already supported Geoff from the beginning. She is key to the day to day running of Tudor-Davies and a familiar face to the families.
In 2015, Haydn, Geoff’s Grandson joined the team on a full-time basis having already been involved for several years beforehand. He has since qualified as an Embalmer and currently works alongside Geoff arranging and conducting funerals.
In 2018, Antony joined the team as a funeral Assistant, having worked at Tudor-Davies part time, he came to Tudor-Davies with previous experience and is an asset to the team.
We endeavour to give our clients all of the attention possible at what is always a very difficult and traumatic time for them. We are fully committed to do our best on all occasions and take as much of the stress away from our clients as possible.
