AlmaJAMESJAMES Dr. Alma James JP (nee Simmonds, formerly Clipson) C.Psychol, PhD, BA (Hons), Chartered Consultant Medical Psychologist - Mid and West Wales Fire Service, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust and the airline industry. Devoted wife of Chris, cherished daughter of Ellen and the late Louis, mother of Catherine, Elizabeth and Rachel and sister of Rae, died of cancer January 27th 2003, after a courageous fight, aged 62. She was an inspiration to everyone who met her and will be missed by many. The funeral will take place at 10.30am on Saturday, February 1st 2003 at St. Teilo's Church, Pontarddulais, Swansea, followed by a committal at 11.45am at Llanelli Crematorium. Flowers will be appreciated, sent to the Chapel of Rest at Hywel Griffiths & Sons, 39 Betws Road, Betws, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, SA18 2HE, or donations in lieu to the Tal-y-Bont Nursing Team, c/o Chris James, 101 Bolgoed Road, Pontarddulais, Swansea, SA4 8JP.

I only found this today although I knew Alma had passed away. She and Rae's parents lived 'across the road' from us and it seems like 'only yesterday' she was a dark-haired beauty. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding to Rick and she taught me to play the piano, a skill one never forgets! The tongue may speak to human ears but souls are reached by souls that speak to souls. I have sent her a message! Gina
