DaveELLERYDave passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday the 7th August with the love of his family all around him. Dave had just celebrated his 77th birthday and had made such an effort for his Birthday BBQ. He was a true entrepreneur having had careers in natural stone, a nursery and garden centre, before moving to Cornwall in January 1980 where he opened the first video shop in Cornwall, VideoVision, in Little Castle Street in Truro expanding to 16 outlets along with Smugglers Chest in St. Agnes which was a beach shop that Dave & Jan ran together. In 1987 he trained to become an Independent Financial Adviser. In 1992 he founded Anderson Lloyd Financial Advisers which subsequently expanded to become Anderson Lloyd LLP still going strong in Strangways Terrace in Truro. He enjoyed his retirement with his Wife, Jan, and they bought villas in Tenerife as a business which also allowed them to enjoy winter sun with family & friends. He enjoyed life right to the end and his sense of humour was second to none. He is survived by his Wife, Jan and his three Sons (their Wives) and his twelve Grandchildren. The funeral will take place at Penmount Crematorium at 12 noon on Tuesday 27th August with the reception at Killiow Golf Club. No black, bright colours only, family flowers only and any donations to be made to the Stroke Association.
