I first met Alex a few years ago & immediately took to him. He was a gentle soul, with a big heart, struggling with what life through at him. Last year & up until his passing, I helped him were I could & when he were sleeping next to New Theatre, I'd pop & see him on a night, with a flask if tea/coffee & bits n bobs to eat! Just before Christmas, I offered him £10 & his first reaction was, "I can't take all that?!" & I said, "yeah you can, or I wouldn't offer!" That was the measure of the lad! Just went about his day, helping others & not harming anyone.
Alex, I didn't know you very long, but you're left a lasting impression on me, I'll always treasure......
Now rest with your Mam......

Iain Parker.
