DouglasMORRISIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mr Douglas Morris announce his passing after a brief illness, on October 9th 2021, at the age of 65. A lifelong Liverpool FC fan and true family man, Dougie ran The Bulls Head pub for 18 years, alongside his wonderful wife, Becky, in a village that they were so proud to call home. His kindness, generosity, humour, and youthful charm will be lovingly remembered by Becky, his adoring children, Andrew, Vicky, Jack, and Libby, as well as the rest of his vast, tight-knit family. His loyal customers will all agree that his ability to light up a room was unmatched. There will certainly be a hole left in many lives by this incredible man - a beloved father, husband, grandad, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. The funeral service will be held on Friday 22nd October, 1.30pm at Bretby Crematorium, Carnarvon Chapel. Donations in Dougie's memory payable to 'Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity' (for use on the Coronary Care Unit at Royal Derby Hospital) may be sent c/o Murray's Funeral Directors 23 York Street, Burton, DE14 2LX.
