Just been speaking to my father and family from Golden Grove and they have such very fond memories of Joan and also knew Grace and David back in the day. Our sincere condolences to the whole family. We are all from Llandeilo and my grandmother was the organist at Golden Grove church for many years going back a long time. My husband and I now live in Winchester having moved from Salisbury last year. (Coincidentally my own in-laws live in Ferndown but that's just a coincidence..). We really wanted to add to these wonderful tributes. My family speak of such a wonderful lady Joan. We are thinking of you. The Lewis family.

To A Nan & A Great Nan,
You will be truly missed, but I will forever cherish the fond memories that I have of you and share them with your great grandkids.
In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away.
You faced your task with courage,
Your spirit did not bend.
And still you kept on fighting,
Until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you and whispered “come with me”,
So when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again.
Deep in our hearts you life is kept, to love and cherish and not forget.
Love you always may you rest in peace.
Your grandson, Christopher & Great-Grandkids, Charlotte & Harry x x x
