RonaldLONGLEYLongley - Ron
To the kindest loveliest man I have ever known - My life is not the same without you.
You gave me life, you gave me purpose, and without you I am not a whole person, you were my soul mate in everything.
I miss you so very much, words cannot explain how bereft I am, how much I grieve for you, how much worse my life is without you to share it with.
God keep you safe until we can be together again.

I wish you could see where I am living now. You would love the sea air. Not many of your favourite animals around but lots of seagulls. I miss you so much my darling, knowing that you would have hated growing older as I am now nearing the age you were when you left my side.

You are in my memories and always in my life, in the morning I wake to a picture of you from our wedding and at night it’s the last thing I see. You are the missing part of my heart. It was hard to remember the anniversary of your death, so close to the anniversary of mum’s today. She always enjoyed chatting with you about life as evacuees. I miss you both.

My darling husband I miss you so much, I am finally going to have an operation to replace my left knee (the shortest leg) and eight months later the right knee will be done. It has taken a long while to show the doctors how much pain I am in. I am scared of course. Not of dying because then I will be with you. Just nervous and wanting you by my side just this once.

I love you so much my darling husband

Love

Jean

Today would have been your birthday my love, and I would have looked forward to surprising you with something special because I loved you so much. It would not have been a visit to an airport today because of the snow but I would have found some way of making it special - you know that because I always did. I miss you so much my darling every day of my life.

I have found out that the polio left me with one leg shorter than the other and nerve damage down my left side - It is amazing that managed to live normally for so long but the damage to my knees because of the imbalance of the legs means that sooner or later I will need a knee replacement as it is really painful to walk. Do you remember when I had trouble keeping up with your long legs? When you have a difference of nearly 2 inches between one leg and the other it isn't surprising.

I wish You were able to give me a sign that you are OK, I sometimes feel your comforting arms around me when I am sad.

You are and will always be my love, my darling - till we will be together again in death and our ashes are mixed together.
