Great memories of a good friend. We met in the Sea Scouts in the 1960’s and our friendship continued from then. Fergus was an inspiration to many people. My life is richer for having known him.

Fergus was my geography teacher at Furness between 1972 and 1975 . No one ever knew what his middle name was with Angus being the speculated favourite !
Some claimed to know but I suspect that no one did but at his funeral I learnt that it was Adam .
He was a long time resident of Hartburn but more recently in the Beeches Care Home . I wish I had met him in later life . RIP

50 years on I remember him as an inspiration and great roll model as a teacher, scout leader and musician. One of those people who affected your life in the best of ways.
Bless you Fergus.
