DavidPAWSONDavid passed away in hospital on 26th August 2015 aged 73 years. He was the beloved Husband of Joyce for 55 years, a loving Dad to Martin & his Wife Karen and Brendan & his Partner Julie, also devoted to his 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Those who loved him dearly are all heartbroken to lose him so suddenly. Funeral Service to take place at Rochdale Crematorium on Wednesday 9th September at 3.00pm. Family flowers only please. All further enquiries to Holdens Funeral Service, 95 Church Street, Littleborough. Tel 01706 378485.

My husband and I just had begun to know David's ministry through his books. The first book read was "Isaiah" as my husband wanted to read a good commentary on that Biblical book in order to better understand it. Well, that led to "The Lord's Prayer" and numerous other of his books, and we have gotten so much from every one. It was a bit of a shock to go on-line in June to find more of his books and to learn that he had just passed to heaven! I especially liked that every book began with his request to read the Word for yourself and if anything he said disagreed with the Bible, believe it and not him! Thank you, David, for your teaching that has drawn both my husband and I closer to the Lord, your whole purpose all along!

Rev. David Pawson is indeed alive in his new eternal home, where we will all be one day. Jesus would have welcomed him into heaven personally saying "well done good and faithful servant, enter into my rest". Praise be to God for his ministry and service to God. I came across Rev. Pawson's teachings just a month ago and have been touched and blessed by his teachings. He still lives in our hearts and fortunate to be able to continue to watch to his teachings. I pray for peace and hope for his family.

I’m saddened to hear of Rev. David Pawson’s passing but trusted our Lord’s care of him in His heavenly home.

I’ve heard some of Rev. Pawson’s bible expositions in “Unlocking the Bible” and found him to be a great bible teacher, in fact my favourite! and very insightful, and brave in speaking the truth. I hope to continue learning from him - he has certainly left a treasure for us. May our gracious Father bless his whole family and all those who listen to his bible teaching. Amen !

If it is possible to love someone without meeting them, then David Pawson was that person for me!

Although I never had the privilege of meeting this great teacher, his knowledge and ability to explore and explain scripture, has moulded and shaped my thinking and theology. Like many others, I am grateful for the teachings he has left behind; may they influence many generations to come.

Sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife and family. And thank you for sharing him with us.
