Jean FlorenceAXTENJean, aged 90 years. Our lovely mother passed away on March 27th, 2020, at home with one of her two sons at her side. She is survived by her three children Guy, John and daughter Gilly and stepsons Robbie and Bruce. She was born June 7th 1929 in Pontefract, Yorkshire to Joseph and Ivy Boyer. People remember her as always so positive and very kind; a remarkable woman who had so many stories to tell of her life in Africa in the 1950's and later, and the many adventures and travels she had over her long life. She loved nursing which she considered a vocation - her kindness always felt by her patients, many of whom still remember her to this day. She loved her children unconditionally! A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 8th, 2020 at 1.00pm at the Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium, Port Road East, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 9PX. (Family only please). Memorial donations in Jean's name may be made to The Salvation Army, 101 Queen Victoria Street, London, EC41 4EH.
