John was a true gentleman, the last of a dying breed. Always happy and jovial he put a smile on your face even if it felt like your world was ending. He loved a good joke and messed around constantly. Incredibly intelligent, well read and travelled, he shared a love for the mountains with his eldest grandson and granddaughter. A loving husband to Maureen and a proud and caring father to Pauline and Lorraine. He was taken away from us too quickly and 4 years later we still feel like there is something missing.
