I worked at the Coventry Evening Telegraph with Wes many years ago (1973-1985). It was a pleasure to have worked with him and to have known him. He was a real gentleman, and it was good to meet him and Ann last year (albeit at another sad occasion) after so many years. RIP Wes.

Rest in Peace Grumpa. You will always be the best Grumpa anyone could ever wish for. I’m so glad you got to do so many amazing things in life and I’ll never eat a chocolate cake again without thinking of you! We’ll all meet you up there one day and it will be the best day. Love you lots and lots, always. Your granddaughter, Meg xxx
