Dearest Grandad, Grampie Jim,
I have the most wonderful memories of you and the fun we had! You always offered warmth and place to get some home comforts, especially during my Uni days. You helped me out with a gazillion house moves (never forget my first move to Oak House halls in Manchester when we were carting my belongings around in a shopping trolley!). I’m sure most of my Uni books are still in your loft (and probably a lava lamp or two!). Grandad you are world famous for your chocolate cake and began to compile Grandads cooking cookbook - I only hope one day we may finish and publish this on your behalf. I love how you had such a passion for wine, food & travel and made the most of your days in Spain - I only wish they could have lasted longer! I have fond memories of you running like the clappers after Lady in the park behind your house! And discovered a new hobby in dog agility, which you were very talented at! I loved our times playing cards, walking the dog, sitting and enjoying your lovely garden. I wish that you got to meet my children, as I’m sure they would have loved you very much and enjoyed your Oscar the Spider stories and funny nursery rhymes about ‘the dog doing a piddle in the middle of the kitchen floor’. Grampie I hope you are throwing a ball for Lady or Rusty and I’m grateful that you are in peace and at rest. I love you very much and will miss you greatly, Rest In Peace, God bless, Bianca xxx
