Muriel RuthPHILLIPSPHILLIPS Muriel Muriel Ruth (nee Norrish) Phillips, 81 of Babbacombe died at Woodland Park Nursing Home on Tuesday, August 28th 2007. She retired from being a beautician/ hair stylist many years ago. Her favourite hobby was cooking. She was a "Wren" during World War II. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years (Leonard) Harold Phillips. Also surviving are a niece, Audrey (Norrish) Wallace of Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A. and a nephew, William Stephen George Norrish of Milton, Florida U.S.A. who will dearly miss her, as well as many cousins and devoted friends. She was predeceased by her sister Florence (Floss) and brothers Robert and Stephen. A memorial service will be held at 1:15pm on Monday, September 10th, officiated by Reverend S. Wakely and cousin Ken Hooper at All Saints Church, Babbacombe. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for The Donkey Sanctuary (Seaton), Rowcroft Hospice and Torbay Hospital League of Friends by retiring collection or may be sent to K. J. Lack Family Funeral Service, 153 St. Marychurch Road, Torquay, TQ1 3HW. Tel: 01803 313200.
