It's been a year Dad,

a long, hard year. I thought I'd get used to it, but you know what? I didn't. Every night around the time Emmerdale starts, I want to ring you up for a chat about... well, nothing special, just a chat. You'll never know how much I long to hear "I'll call you back in half an hour, Emmerdale's on".

I miss you mate, so much, it's unreal!

I really want to meet you "in Ship, just for an hour", have a game of pool (& show you how it's done), "Go a couple of quid apiece" on the bandit, then stay there til the karaoke kicks in... and stagger home arm in arm after hearing you sing "WORDS" one last time.

I love you dad, so much it hurts.

I want to sit with you, and a cuppa, and tell you all my worries, gripe about the wife & kids, moan about work, and my aches & pains, my fears for the future, regrets of the past.

I've lost the only person I ever really talked to, and I cry about it often.

It's been a year Dad.

Dad, i am so sorry you have left us all, i am glad we all had the chance to say how much we loved you, you will be in my thoughts every minute of every day untill we are reunited, I LOVE YOU DAD, Rest in peace now, we'll take care of Mam, I will have a drink for you. Tony xxxx
