I first met Rex around December 2001 in the White Horse Pub in Birstall where I was working. I can remember this small fellow ordering his usual...mineral water and Ice. We soon became close friends through similar interests especially religion. Up until Rex's death in 2007 we stayed in regular contact by phone, email or face to face meetings. Rex's last few years were his happiest in his little flat in Birstall, with his cats. I spoke to him just before he was taken to hospital and he firmly believed he was OK and recovering from what he thought was the flu...
Rex, I dearly miss our prayers and jokes and laughter, I will carry you in my mind as long as I live. We will meet sooner or later again.
As you used to say, God Bless!
Remembering all the goodness you shared.
Gerrit
