Sixteen years since I met you & you agreed to share your life with mine. My thoughts often go back to the first few days & weeks, but at a time like this I just think how all our time was as magical as only reality is. Love you still x

And not forgetting today 6 years ago. On Windsor Street where I clumsily mistook your kindness & selflessness for simple timidity, nearly risking ruining another precious day. Thank goodness you quickly forgave me as you always did.

1900 days today without you. "I thought of her as the wishing tree that died/ And saw it lifted, root and branch, to heaven." Everything reminds me of you x

Today was five years since the funeral. I went to the Chapel again where we said goodbye to you, although our proper leave had already been taken. But every minute that is empty of you seems to fill the next one with your beautiful enduring presence. So it's never really goodbye. Love you always x

Dear Jo, I've spent all day in a kind of stupor recalling the last time I looked on your face, five years ago today. These markers are meaningless I guess, but they keep me anchored in my love for you & all the goodness you gave me. Blessings always love x

Five years this morning we closed the door for good on the flat you took over & made your own. You were all too lovely, too vivid for oblivion.
