I remember Lawson when I was a school boy in Ayr. My granny lived in Bellslyhill Ave, and I used to see Lawson when he was on his bike cycling in the area , he always used to speak to me, even though he was a bit older than me. Years later I met him again when we both worked at Butlins holiday camp at Ayr.
He worked on the wages office and I worked as a pool attendant. I can always remember that everyone that knew him thought that he was a smashing bloke. Rest in peace my very old friend.
