My beautiful sister Dawney…..Growing up together we shared a bond that only sisters can share and I have many happy memories of the fun, laughter and some tears but always the strength of love we felt for each other unconditionally …nothing and no one could ever break that bond.
Dawney was always my role model as I grew up and followed her into nursing I tried to emulate her genuinely kind, loving and compassionate heart….there was no doubt that Dawney touched so many people’s lives and left her caring mark on us all. She set the bar high and I was always so proud when other health care professionals realised we were sisters. Dawney shone very unassumingly and will continue to be my inspiration in life both as a carer and a mother.
I feel blessed to have had her as my sister and my friend and would like to take this opportunity on this platform to thank you all for the kindness that you have shown on this tribute page these past weeks. Reading all your memories and seeing your pictures of Dawney has been such an incredible source of comfort to all the family, she would be very humbled by your donations and words of love for her.
