Only worked with Dave for a few years in the late sixties. The vivid memories remain of a totally unique character for whom work adapted to him rather than the other way round.

A dear friend of many years, he will be greatly missed. A unique and original mind, creative and dedicated to his art, an inspiring teacher, self-deprecating and funny, deeply loyal and committed to making the world a better place.

Goodbye Dave. You really were a one off, unique and inspiring human. You had the wonderful ability to lift people up and bring out the best of them with your charm and compliments. I will treasure and miss the wonderful rambling conversations about music, art and life. You were a huge influence on me in my twenties when you and mum lived together in that happy house in Bengeo and I am so grateful to have known you. You were much loved and will be missed eternally. I will look for you in the stars.
