JuneTURNERand Peter It is with great sadness we announce June passed away suddenly, on 10th July 2018, aged 81 years, followed by the sudden passing of her son Peter, on 16th July 2018, aged 60 years. June, a dearly loved mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and partner, and Peter, a much loved partner, father, grandfather, brother and good friend to many will be missed by Michael and his wife Paula, Sharon, Joanna, Daniel, Emily and her partner Julian, Ava Rose, Don, Peter, David and all family and friends. A funeral service for both June and Peter will be held at St John's Church, Brigg on Wednesday 1st August at 11am followed by committal service at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe. Family flowers only please. Donations in June and Peter's memory may be made following the service or sent direct to Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Burringham Road, Scunthorpe DN17 2AA. June and Pete are now resting peacefully together at J Naylor Funeral Directors, 15 Bigby Street, Brigg DN20 8EJ Tel (01652) 650520

Dear Mike & Family, Pete's Family & Don & Family,

Words cannot begin to express how deeply saddened we were to hear of June and then Pete's sudden departure from all those who loved them.

My Mum was so blessed to have had June as a very dear friend for many years and, through good times and bad, June was always there to lend a helping hand and give her loving support. June never failed to cheer my Mum up with stories of her latest mishap or generally funny stories that she would be eager to share with her. June truly was a friend that so few of us are lucky enough to have in our lives, and I shall be forever grateful that my Mum was one of the lucky ones to have had June as her very dear friend.

The sudden loss of Pete is so difficult to comprehend so soon after his Mum. We sincerely hope that there will be some comfort in the fact that they are both together again and his Mum will take care of him, as she always has.

I just learnt the world I knew had took a turn for the worse

Siouxsie Reggae Clash
The F Club made our paths cross
but Pete’s bite, charm and insightfulness turned music into friendship
And stories!
Steelman and wordsmith
True stories, incredible stories, bullshit stories
And sausages
In the era of No Fun, he sure was fun to be around.
Loved his mum
No other way to make sense of us calling to him
Incarcerated in an upstairs room in Manley Gardens
For some infraction
A twenty-year old banned from seeing his favorite band
Come down the wall then!
But respectful of his mum’s proscription
We had to sell his two pound ticket in Leeds
Still
the irony of missing Clash on Parole Tour
must bring a smile to Peter’s face.
Sorry I cannot make the funerals
Mary and Ann also send their love to the Turner families.
