Michael Anthony (Retired sports journalist, committed loyal member of Swansea NUJ)BURROWSRetired sports journalist, committed loyal member of Swansea NUJ Sadly, the death is announced of Mike Burrows, age 72, at Glais Nursing Home on 3rd July 2020, after a long period of ill health. Beloved best friend and soul comrade of Helen; dear brother to Paul and Andrew; dearest and just brilliant uncle to: Billy, Emma, Patrick, Rosien, Frankie, Beverley, Alexandra, Alexander, Dan, Alison, Tom, Josh and Sofia; loving and much loved great uncle to Archie, Gwen and Greyson, fond ex-brother-in-law to Marian and Christine. Special pal to Dylan and Lucas. At a future date, a memorial celebration of Mike's rich and creative life will be held for everyone. Unfortunately, due to the current health crisis funeral attendance is restricted to immediate family. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to Action on Hearing Loss or Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders c/o John Edwards Funeral Directors, 5 Cwmbath Road, Morriston, Swansea, SA6 7AH. 01792 771232.

Mike (Buzzie) was my best friend, 1954-9, in the long demolished St Davids Junior School. Sadly our ways parted in later years but we met up again a few years back thanks to the RISW. Always charming and a true gentleman.
He will be missed.
