I am so sad to read this. I first met Tony in 1997 when I joined the teaching team at QEC as an NQT age 21. There were many staff to whom I had to prove my worth. Tony wasn’t one of those. He was such a lovely man; warm, intelligent, interesting to talk to and always supportive. He gave me a sense of equality despite my young age and inexperience. He listened, laughed and was interested in my areas of expertise as they were. I had nothing to prove with Tony. He had such kindness and warmth. He was a good person who contributed so much to so many lives in his role as a teacher. I read on my social media pages where I am still in contact with students from 20+ years ago such overwhelmingly warm comments and sincere sadness at his loss. I am sorry I didn’t have the chance to stay in touch with Tony and some 20 years have passed since we were colleagues but my thoughts go out to his loved ones and my gratitude goes out to being graced with his presence in my life in those early years as a teacher; he genuinely made some very challenging years a lot more bearable! He was genuinely a good and kind man. May his memory be a blessing. X

Mr. Gregory made Physics an exciting and involving topic. He stood for more than just teaching. He stood for tremendous anecdotes and wry observations. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. Be at peace Sir

Mr Gregory was a fantastic teacher, he was well respected as a man and kind, caring and generous as a person. He is a legend of QE Cambria school and will never be forgotten by myself and our class.

My maths and science teacher for many years. A huge encouragement and a great sense of humor with everyone. Everyone loved him. Sad to hear the news, but so many great memories of such an impactful character in the lives of people he taught.
