Alan JohnUSHERPeacefully with great sadness on September 2nd 2021 at his home, Alan. The darling and precious husband of Viveen, loved husband of the late Joan and Diane, dearly loved and proud father of Marc and Louise, adored father-in-law of Kate and Dave, respected stepfather of Tim, Ian, Karen and Helen, dear uncle and cousin and adored son-in-law of Vi, loving and precious bampi of all his grandchildren. Alan will be greatly missed by all his family and church family at St Samlet's Church and the many friends whose lives he touched. 'A true gentleman' Funeral Monday 20th September 2021, 1.15pm, service at St Samlet's Church, Llansamlet followed by cremation at Swansea Crematorium, 2.30pm. At Alan's request no flowers please, but donations in lieu to Wales Air Ambulance. All donations and enquiries to Gareth Sims of Sims and Jones Independent Funeral Directors, 240 Jersey Road, Bonymaen, Swansea, SA1 7DL. Tel: 01792 700501. Due to covid restrictions attendees at the crematorium is by invitation only.

So very sorry to hear of Alan's passing whilst I was abroad. Although I had seen little of him in later years he was a good friend when we were young, a good man, and a hell of a cricketer. I have very fond memories of those days long gone. Rest in peace Alan bach.

Received the news with great sadness.
Have always respected and loved seeing Alan, and enjoyed meeting up with him whenever he came to Southam with Frank & Ruby, or when we took my own Mum & Dad over to visit in Swansea. Although Sally and I won't be able to come to the funeral we will be thinking of you all.
