Widow of Professor Roger Denham-Hadley. Dearly loved mother of Alex, Max and Matthew and stepmother to Richard and Anne, fond mother in law of Julie and Sally and cherished grandma to Luke, William, Rhiannon and Brynna. Funeral Wednesday 28th July 2021. Gathering at Tir Gwelyog, Gwaenysgor at 5pm and then Interment alongside her beloved Roger. Clare was much loved by colleagues and students at Bangor University, where she led the development of research on ageing from the 1970s onwards. In 2017 she received the British Society of Gerontology’s Outstanding Achievement Award, marking her distinguished career in gerontology. Her passion for her area of study and her warmth and support for her colleagues were much valued. We count ourselves fortunate to have known and worked with her.
