I have just read this today, very sorry to hear about Henry’s death last April at what would have been an especially difficult time for his family. Henry and Norma bought Hollybank from my parents in 1967 and vowed never to move. My parents kept in touch for many years. Thanks to both Norma and Henry for looking after the house and garden so beautifully after we left. Love and best wishes to the family. Shelagh Phelps née Brown

I have only just heard of the sad passing of my all-time favourite teacher. He taught me at Summerway School and was a most kind and caring teacher. Later, when I was a student at st Luke's College of Education, I was delighted to be sent to John Stocker School for my final Teaching Practice, where he was Headteacher. Although I shall be 70 next year and have not seen him since 1975, having moved away, I have never forgotten him. Rest in Peace, dear Mr Whetter! From Janet Knight nee Berry.
