This is such terribly sad news about Mark.
As a work colleague, I knew Mark for around 20 years. For much of that time he acted as my direct line manager. Friendly and approachable, he always freely gave his time and his wisdom whenever I needed his assistance. He was the best manager I could have wished for, and in a career which lasted for 37 years, and where I saw many talented people come and go, Mark was the colleague I most respected.
Back in 2017, on the day I retired, Mark's final words to me were 'You'll be missed'. Here some 6 years later, I return the compliment.
Thanks Mark for being a good guy and a great friend. RIP
