Norina 'MerleBOULDENOn Monday, 10th April 2023, peacefully at St Julia’s Hospice, Hayle, Merle aged 71 years of Illogan. A much loved wife of David, and a good friend to many. Funeral service at Treswithian Downs Crematorium on Friday 21st April 2023 at 10am. David has requested that black funeral attire is not necessary, and welcomes something colourful. Family flowers only, donations if so desired for Cancer Research UK by retiring collection or c/o David Hendy Funeral Services, Treswithian, Camborne TR14 7NW. Tel: 01209 612025

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Merle and David whilst on holiday in Kenya in 1995. We had gone there to have a quiet wedding and knew nobody else there. We met Merle and David and discovered that we both lived in Cornwall. We asked them to be witnesses at our wedding which Merle and David accepted and so on 10th April 1995, my wife and I got married with Merle and David as our witnesses. We became good friends and later went on holiday together in Cuba also. Merle, a very elegant lady who we grew to love dearly, a beautiful woman and an excellent cook. May she rest in peace and our best wishes to David xx
