I had the pleasure of sitting next to Peter at the Telegraph, for a time. As well as regaling me with tales of the Great War, Peter enjoyed his attempts to convince me of the importance of the Fisherman's Friend cough drop! Not being swayed - horrible things! - he felt he'd triumphed when they brought out the blackcurrant version and I had to agree to their healing qualities!
Sleep well, Mr Chapman. It was lovely to have spent time with you.
