DavidEDWARDSB.Sc M.Ed In his working life David was a University Principal lecturer and a chief examiner for 'A' level Geography. He also worked for the British Overseas Council visiting third world countries advising them on the setting up of Teacher training Colleges, this was never straight forward. His visit to Sri Lanka coincided with the Tamils uprising, he had to spent 8 weeks on the beach eating pineapples. On his visit to El Salvador he took his wife Trish with him, it was just after the civil war so they had to have an armed guard wherever they went. Life was never dull. He was always active, playing football for Wales in his youth, League Squash in his 30's, horse riding in his 50's and Golf in his 60's. Dave and Trish sold their farm and Boarding Kennels in 2002 so that he could retire to develop his Golf. Sadly, returning from a Golf tournament in Granada in 2005, he was involved in a car accident which killed his friend and left him on a life support machine for 2 weeks. He suffered life changing injuries, he was cared for by his wife until he was admitted to hospital in March this year. He leaves wife Trish and children Sarah, Lisa. Alistair and Kimberly. He will be sorely missed.
