Gordon JohnEDWARDSIt with immense sadness that the family of Gordon Edwards of Ashby, Scunthorpe and Penshaw, Durham announce his death on Friday 15th September 2023 aged 91. Gordon was at home surrounded by his loving family and is now reunited with his precious wife Grace.
An adored husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, brother and special friend to all who knew him.

We ask family and friends to meet at the church, a service to celebrate his wonderful life will be held at
All Saints Church, Penshaw DH4 7ER on
Wednesday September 27th at 2pm, followed by a cremation at Durham Crematorium DH1 3TQ at 3pm.
Afterwards the family would like to extend an invitation to the Honest Lawyer Public House in Durham DH1 3SP where we will rejoice in his love.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Blind Veterans UK who supported Gordon with his eyesight. If you have a special photograph or a lovely memory of Gordon, please bring them with you.

Special thanks from the family to the caring staff of The Pavillion.

I used to speak to Gordon in the sauna on sat were he used to get dropped of for few hours used tell me about he's wife and other stories aswell as leaving orange peel all over lovely bloke I all so used to get him he's sirloin steak cheap and drop it of at he's place were he lived rip 🙏 mate
