Beloved husband of Val, a much loved dad of John, Nicky and David, a loving grandad of Olivia, Jon, Lydia, Callum, Luke, Jak, Caitlin and Reece, a loving brother of Carole (deceased) and Phillip, a dear father-in-law to Tony, Carly and Louise. Requiem Mass at St Oswald's Church, St Oswald's Street, L13 5SB on Thursday 2nd March at 10.30am followed by cremation at Springwood Crematorium (Rosemary Chapel) at 12 noon. Sincere condolences to the family of John King from a long-standing Altrincham FC supporter, who was privileged to watch the great man both play for and manage the club.
He was a pivotal figure in some of the happiest experiences of my life.
In particular, his goal (and subsequent celebration) at Wembley in 1978 will never be forgotten.
