We paused at 11am near Gotherington today and raised a metaphorical glass to you Alan. Your commitment to and enthusiasm for our railway was beyond doubt. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to work with you, and although we rarely worked the same days I shall miss the discussions we had when we did. I hope the beer is good where you are.
