The obituary notice of Ralph Martin NARINE - SAMMY

In memory of my dearest brother Ralph. I am deeply saddened by your passing away. I think of the very happy times we had growing up as boys and playing cricket in Guyana and enjoying our life in Georgetown with Sheila, Marge and our mother. I will always have those happy memories to treasure. Goodbye to my dearest brother. God bless. Love Arnold.

My dearest Uncle Ralph will be tremendously missed. He was definitely my favorite uncle. I met uncle for the first time in 1970 when he visited us in Guyana with his friend John. Since then he made sure he attended every significant event we had in New York. From my wedding in 1992 until my mom’s big 80th birthday celebration in 2013. I will cherish all the precious moments that we shared together engaging in learning so much about the extended families and not forgetting our rum and cokes! I love you my dearest Uncle Ralph and regret so much that I can’t be there in person to bid you farewell! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.🙏❤️

Uncle Ralph when I laugh it reminds me of you. Your laugh is the thing I will remember and miss the most. You always made everyone around you smile and I remember many a holiday as a little girl spent with you and aunty Cilla, laughing and smiling everyday.

Uncle Ralph. I have not seen you for so long but when Natasha and Zarreena comes to visit we would mention you and your family. Sending all the family love and kisses.

The loss of my loving Dad is so profoundly painful. His family was the most important thing to him. His unconditional love,protection,support was unending I think his huge encouragement in ascertaining my dreams meant the most to me, he believed in me strengthened me and told me to have guts. He had a very gentle caring calming influence and gave the best advice. He was
Always there for me.
He was the cornerstone of our family lighting up everything and everyone with his smile, huge loving kind heart and laughter.
I feel so lucky to have been told as an adult and child by many friends that they wished their father was like my Dad. His fast mathematical brain and awareness of all things current in the world
never wavered he was always eager to know everything and keep up to date.
Growing up he taught me to be kind and think of others be respectful and to interact with everyone from every walk of life. We always had ‘funtime before bed’ which meant jumping on the furniture whilst he was a croc dile in the water. We used to watch ‘top of the pops’ and dance in the lounge and shout out at the top 20
the ones we liked best! Saturday night, we were allowed to stay up late, lots of laughter comedies and shows genrally Bruce Forsyth the Two Ronnies then at 10pm bed time to the tune of match of the day with a small bacon sandwich for supper. On Sundays after lunch we used to go to the Westwood for a runaround he always found a large attached low tree branch for us to sit on and rocked us up and down high. Afterwards Burgess ice creams all round. He told us many stories of his life in Guyana which was a hard life I feel but he had fond memories. He encouraged me always to educate myself. He was a Christian and had a strong faith and that gives me comfort in knowing he will now be in heaven living his eternal life in peace joy. I do feel as time goes by I will miss him more not less.
